When Shirley at S&A Floral Design approached me about designing her new logo I was ecstatic! Not only did Shirley create my own beautiful wedding flowers but we have collaborated on several projects over the last year, forming a great friendship along the way.
Located in rural Lincolnshire, Shirley’s ethos of growing as much of her own flora and fauna in her cutting garden was what attracted me to her as a floral designer for our wedding and it was this amongst her other unique selling points that I wanted to convey.
Shirley had already gone through the “soul-searching” work before coming to me (so many businesses and organisations think of branding as a logo and visuals… when in reality, it’s important to think about WHY you want a new visual brand) and she knew she wanted a logo that was elegant, timeless and adaptable just like her own style.
My aim when creating any new logo design is to communicate the fundamental aspirations of the business whilst creating a design that is adaptable over time, S&A Floral was no exception! With a monogram forming the heart of the logo and hand drawn country florals surrounding it, the design can be broken apart and used just as effectively with singular elements as it can as a whole.
